Phone-a-Thon - Erik Falter

Last year, my 13 year-old daughter raised over $1100 in one evening during the annual PCEF Phone-a-Thon.  I am so proud of her and the other students who gave their time to support our community's treasure - our public school system.   This year alone, PCEF will invest more than $400,000 into our schools to support programs that touch nearly every student including my own.  This year,  I am committing my time and effort to encourage more dads and parents to join their students, sons and/or daughters in supporting PCEF, our students and our schools.

I ask each of you, who have not already “Beat the Call,” to make a financial contribution during the annual PCEF Phone-a-Thon the week of February 9-16, 2012.  By donating just $1 per day that your student is in school, or $180 dollars per student, you will be investing in science, math, technology, gifted, arts and music programs across the district.

Please join me in supporting the Education Foundation.  It's such a worthy investment that companies like Ragnar and Winder Farms are stepping up to provide matching challenge grants during the Phone-a-Thon.  They too believe in PCEF's power to move mountains.

I look forward to speaking with you the week of the Phone-a-Thon,

Erik Falter

P.S.  It's not too late to "Beat the Call."  Donate today at www.pcef4kids.org.

Ragnar Relay Series Supports PCEF

PCEF is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Ragnar Relay Series. Ragnar will support each of our marquee events – Red Apple Gala, Phone-A-Thon, and Running with Ed – with cash and in-kind services, totaling approximately $90,000!

Ragnar Relay Series will be the Title Sponsor of Running with Ed, but their commitment goes far beyond that.  By leveraging Ragnar’s race event expertise, we hope to grow Running with Ed, making it an even bigger success. This means PCEF will be able to fund more grants and programs in your school

Ragnar is kicking things off with two $5,000 grants. They will be offering a $5,000 challenge grant during the Phone-A-Thon,  as well as the $5,000 first place grant for the Running with Ed Walk-A-Thon.

This partnership inspired PCEF to create a new category of donors. ‘Golden Apple Sponsors’ offer sustaining gifts of $50,000 and above, and make a commitment  to making long-term investments in the education of Park City School District students. Golden Apple Sponsors work with PCEF to frame their gifts in a way that will have the most impact. Ragnar joins Montage Deer Valley and United Way of Salt Lake in this category of donors.

We would like to thank Ragnar Relay Series for their generosity. They are going the extra mile to help the students of Park City School District!
